Thing Details Page

On the thing details page you can see all information associated with the thing and perform thing management tasks.

To view a thing, click the corresponding View icon in the table view of the Things page.

Under the Overview tab, the page shows the Thing definition, Key, Last seen, Tags, Security Tags, Location, and Identity information. 

From the thing page you can do the following:

• Change the thing definition of the thing. For more information, see Changing the Definition of a Thing.

• Edit the thing definition. For more information, see Editing a Thing Definition.

• Update the location information of the thing. For more information, see Viewing and Updating the Location Information of a Thing.

• Unlock the identity of the thing if the thing fails to connect because of an appId mismatch. For more information, see Device Cloud Frequently Asked Questions.

• View the list of alarms and alarm details, if available. For more information, see Viewing and Updating the Alarms of a Thing

• View the list of properties and property details, if available. For more information, see Viewing the Properties of a Thing.

• Under the Attributes tab, view and update attributes defined for a thing. For more information, see Viewing and Updating the Attributes of a Thing.

• Under the Events tab, view the connection history and other events published from the thing.

• Under the Files tab, upload a file to appear as an icon on Overview. For more information, see Adding an Icon to a Thing Details Page.

• Under the Files tab, upload files from your computer to download to the thing. For more information, see Device Cloud Device Programmer's Guide: Device Manager.

• Under the Methods tab, execute application methods, if available.

• Under the API Usage tab, view the history of API calls of the thing.

• Under the Actions menu, edit and delete the thing, view the method history in the mailbox (see Viewing the Command History in the Mailbox of a Thing), and view the JSON structure of the thing.
