Navigating the Management Portal

The Home page shows recently viewed things, API usage for the previous 30 days, recent event logs, and a pie chart that displays a quick overview of connected things and status.

The appearance of the Management Portal depends on customizations for your organization and your user account permissions. The pages of the Management Portal shown are based on the appearance of the default organization and the organization administrator role.


Item	Description
1	The top menu bar shows a set of links to the most commonly used Management Portal pages. It includes Dashboards, Things, Developer, and Help.
2	The name of organization you are currently logged in to appears in the upper-right corner. If you belong to multiple organizations and want to view a different organization, select the organization name and then select another organization from the list that appears.
3	The Tools menu enables you to log out from the Management Portal, access your profile, change your password, set your timezone, switch organizations, and access administrative functionality. The Administration entry in the menu does not appear if you do not have administrator privileges.
4	Search in the Management Portal enables you to do a full text search. Type the text and press ENTER to find all the things that contain the text you entered.
5	The Connected Things pie chart displays a summary view of the number of things that are currently connected.
6	The API Usage bar graph shows the API usage for the last 30 days. Move the mouse pointer over each bar to get a breakdown of the API usage for that particular day.
7	Recently Viewed Dashboards list displays the recently viewed dashboard. To navigate to a dashboard, click the View icon of the dashboard.
8	The Recently Viewed Things list displays the recently viewed things. To go to the thing details page of a specific thing, click the View icon of the thing.
9	The Event Log displays recent event log entries. To view the log entries of a thing, click the View icon of the thing, and on the thing details page, click the Events tab.
