Files
Files uploaded from your computer or a thing can be stored globally or in thing-specific storage.
Files in global storage are accessible from the Developer page, and files in thing-specific storage are accessible from the thing details page under the Files tab.
You can upload files to do the following:

enable a thing to retrieve them or to download the file to a thing through a method

upload a file to appear as an icon on the thing details page (see Adding an Icon to a Thing Details Page)

download files from the Management Portal to your computer
When you upload a file, you can specify that a file is public, which means all users in the organization can see and download the file.
By default, the file shows the file extension as a tag. You can also add tags and security tags to the file.
