Creating a Geofence

You can create a geofence to define a virtual geographical boundary for devices.

1. On the Developer page, click Geofences.
2. On the Geofences page, click New geofence.
3. Depending on your browser location settings, if a window opens requesting access to your location, click Allow to zoom in to your current location.
4. On the Adding Geofence page, enter the details.

   

   1. In the Key box, type a unique key.
   2. In the Name box, type a descriptive name.
   3. In the Tags box, select from the list of existing tags or type a new tag name. 

      Tags are used to group geofences.

5. Zoom in to the area around which you want draw your geofence.
   You can also click Center map to center the map based on the latitude and longitude or the physical address.

   

6. Choose a shape (polygon or circle) to start drawing your geofence.

   

7. Draw the geofence on the map, and then click Add.
