Look Up Application Tokens

Look up the application tokens for the device manager and telemetry applications in the Device Cloud Management Portal.

The required Device Cloud application and thing definitions for the device manager and telemetry application should already have been created for your organization (for example, hdc_simple_telemetry_clib_def). If you do not see any of the elements specified in the steps below, contact your organization administrator, or create the definitions yourself.

When you develop your own system, you will need to create the application and thing definitions in Device Cloud.

In your browser's address bar on your host machine, type the URL you were given when you received your Device Cloud account, and then on the Sign In page, type your user name and password in the boxes.
To access the Management Portal, click Development Tools.
Click Developer, then Applications.
Look for the hdc_device_manager_clib_app and hdc_simple_telemetry_clib_app entries in the Name column.
If you find them, copy the names to a temporary file, and then click the Copy icon on the right side in each row to copy the token values associated with them to the temporary file.
If you do not find the entries, ask your administrator to create the thing definitions, or create them yourself.

If the thing definitions you need do not exist, then Generate Thing Definitions.
If you find them (and the tokens), then Create iot.cfg, Create iot-connect.cfg, and Create telemetry-app.cfg.
