What to Do Next

Now that you have started transmitting data successfully, you can continue exploring Device Cloud and start developing your own applications.

You can do the following:

  • Run other sample applications. RTP binaries are built in vsbDir/usr/root/compiler/bin/. The source code is in vsbDir/3pp/HDC_DEVICE_CLOUD_LIB/device_cloud_lib_repo/share/apps/. The steps to run the other applications are similar to those you did to run the sample telemetry C application. The applications and thing definitions should already exist in your Device Cloud organization, if not, you can create them (as described in this Quick Start).

  • On the Management Console, create triggers using the thing data as cloud trigger events. For more information, see Device Cloud Management Portal User's Guide: Triggers.

  • Start writing your own client applications. For more information, see the Device Cloud Device Programmer's Guide.

  • If you are an organization administrator, you may want to add other users to your organization. For more information, see Device Cloud Management Portal User's Guide: Adding a User.

  • If you used earlier releases of Device Cloud, you may want to review the Device Cloud Winter 2017 Transition Guide.
