Uploading Your Digital Ownership Receipt to Device Cloud

To enable your devices to receiving onboarding information, you must upload your ownership receipt to Device Cloud.

An ownership receipt file contains ownership information for one or more devices. You can upload more than one file at a time. The maximum size of each file is five MB.

You need the following:

  • a user name and password for Device Cloud

  • your ownership receipt file

  1. In your browser's address bar, type the URL you were given when you received your Device Cloud account, and then on the Sign In page, type your user name and password in the boxes and click SUBMIT.
  2. If you want to upload your ownership receipt to an organization other than your default organization, select Switch organization on the LaunchPad and select the organization to which you want to upload the file.

  3. On the LaunchPad, click Secure Device Onboard.
  4. On the Add New SDO-Compliant Devices page, click ADD DEVICES.
  5. In the file upload area that appears, do one of the following:
    • Drag the ownership file into the box.

    • Click anywhere in the box and in the file explorer that appears, select the ownership file from your computer, and then click Open.

    When the file uploads successfully, your devices appear in the list and are identified by the device Id in the file.

To enable the devices to onboard successfully, the devices must have an onboarding package assigned to them.
